... is a concept/model for a community dance project that invites

participants to portray their story or express their relationship to the place they live in, through choreography.

The project is based on a community dance project in Laxå 2022 which resulted in each participant having the opportunity to choreograph and direct their own film in more depth on the theme of "personal landmarks". The end result was a QR code walk through the city with an accompanying process exhibition - "Laxå through us".

 

The group as a concept has many different development possibilities based on wishes and needs. We see that the concept is flexible and can vary in extent and time period, for example as single workshops. It is applicable to all age groups, and can also be a good way to engage other target groups that are otherwise overlooked.

We are happy to work in dialogue with educators, cultural coordinators and other enthusiasts so that we all get as much as possible from the project.

The concept is valuable for the people who participate and, by extension, also for the local community that organizes it.
